Bake, Craft & Picnic: A Wholesome Family Experience!
We’re bringing two worlds together woodworking and baking in a fun-filled parent-child workshop that blends creativity, learning, and a sweet reward at the end!
In this special session, your child will:
Learn basic woodworking skills by crafting their very own wooden spoon with guidance from Rekayu Penang.
Join a hands-on cupcake baking class led by the amazing team at Piece of Cake MY.
Put both skills into action by using the spoon they made to enjoy the cupcakes they baked!
To wrap up the day, we’ll gather for a casual mini picnic, where families can relax, share stories, and celebrate their creations together.
Details:
Date: 3th Aug 2025 (Sunday)
Time: Session 1: 10am-1pm or 3pm-6pm (3hrs)
Venue: Rekayu Penang @ PSC (Penang Science Cluster 37, Gat Lebuh China, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang)
Age: kids 4YO-18YO + accompanied by a parent or guardian old enough to supervise.
Making: Wooden Spoon and Cupcakes
Price: RM160/pair (1 kid + 1parent);
Special Price for Reka Jr. Alumni: RM150/pair (1 kid + 1parent)
Limited to 10-12 pairs only for each session.

Parking
Public parking spaces is limited around our area, u can:
1) park at MBPP parking building @ Lebuh Pantai
2) park at guarded open parking spaces at Weld Quay
What you should bring?
Please provide the items such as:
1) Ample drinking water
Terms & Conditions
• Safety Measures: All participants will undergo safety training during the first session to ensure proper handling of tools.
• Safety Goggle, Face Mask , Materials, and Tools: All necessary personal protective equipment, materials, and tools are provided.
• Class Duration: Refer back to the programme.
• Age Requirements: The program is specifically designed for children aged 4–18 years old.
• Parental Involvement: Parents are encouraged to actively participate and build alongside their children, especially those aged 4–12.
• Refund Policy: Fees are non-refundable.
• Special Needs: Please inform us in advance if your child has specific needs or requirements, so we can make appropriate accommodations.
• Attire: Participants should wear covered shoes for safety. Girls with long hair are advised to tie it up properly.
• Parents/guardians are required to complete a Liability Waiver and Indemnity Form upon registration. The form will be provided upon the confirmation of registration.
